A Gamers Week: January 20

Sunday, January 20, 2013

It’s another snowy and slow week for video game industry and that means that the gaming public tends to look to the best and play the best titles of 2012, most of which can be evaluated using the reviews from our own Softpedia archive.

Because it’s the first month of 2013 we also look forward to the rest of the year in our current Game Diary series, which focuses on such coming launch like Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel and the Double Fine classic adventure funded via Kickstarter.

As always we also have two Weekend Reading features to deliver: one talking about the multiplayer beta that Sony launched for the upcoming God of War: Ascension and another about the coming of the next generation of consoles.

We also have a Quick Look for the demo version of Dead Space 3, the horror shooter from Visceral and publisher Electronic Arts.

Players can also enjoy our EndWeekGame piece and take a look at the most important news of the past seven day.

On Monday Blizzard talked about the 1.07 patch for Diablo 3 and the changes that it will introduce and GameFreak offered more information about the social aspects of the coming Pokemon X & Y.

Tuesday Irrational Games revealed the PC system requirements for BioShock Infinite and the included features and a DC Comics writer talked about the story of Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Wednesday CD Projekt offered more information on the coming Witcher 3 reveal and Nintendo unified development teams for the 3DS and Wii U.

Thursday Gearbox promises a level cap increase for Borderlands 2 and Microsoft announced a new World Series of Poker game on the Xbox 360 and the PC.
