Cheat Sheet for Short-Term Memory Loss Patient Goes Viral

Friday, March 8, 2013

Redditor JoDiegoJo has posted a cheat sheet given to her by a good friend, while she was suffering short-term memory loss.

According to the Daily Mail, she was hospitalized after suffering cognitive trauma that left her forgetting everything every 5 minutes.

She has been attending memory building therapy sessions for the last two years, and believes the incident was brought on by being given the wrong medication at the hospital. She saw a doctor after being nauseous and feeling ill for days in a row.

“A nurse didn't bother checking my med chart and administered a medication for nausea that reacted with another medication. Hypoxia ensued. When I was revived I was combative and didn't even know who my husband was,” she wrote on Reddit.

Her friend tried to update her on anything she might be wondering about, including what doctors knew, how long she had been out, and what happened to her. It also reassured her about her family being contacted and being on the way to see her.
