Twitter may be close to launching a music discovery service, it should be launching this weekend; but in the meantime, it's got some scheduled improvements to boast about as well, like the fact that its Trends feature now works in 160 more locations.
"Included in that list are a number of countries that will be getting Trends for the first time: Belgium, Greece, Kenya, Norway, Poland, Portugal, and Ukraine, plus more than 130 new cities in countries that already have Trends," Twitter explained.
When first introduced, trends were global, the biggest things on the site, no matter where they happened, shot up to the top.
The global trends are still available, but if you want something that is more relevant so your location, you can get localized trends, by country or even by city in many places. Trends was already available in a few hundred locations before the expansion today.
