Elaine Stritch, the foul-mouthed and cantankerous actress, dropped an f-bomb live on the Today show this morning, and boy did it make for an instant classic.
The Broadway legend/30 Rock star was on the program to promote her documentary, Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me, and she certainly did shoot from the hip.
Appropriately enough, it was while answering a question about her infamously foul mouth that Stritch went ahead and dropped an f-bomb on live television.
It was pretty legendary. Take a look:

Even more priceless than the expletive dropped by Stritch, who is 89 years old, is the stunned reaction by both Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb to the bomb.
Despite knowing exactly who they were dealing with, and even asking her about such a thing directly, they nevertheless were taken aback, it appears.
Best of all? After clutching their respective pearls, Hoda recovered and confidently asserted to the viewers of the NBC morning show staple that "we bleeped it."
Sadly (thankfully) Hoda, you did not.
