Fashionistas got a lot more than they bargained for this morning when a streaker was spotted storming the Prabal Gurung runway at New York Fashion Week.
The man, who was wearing nothing but red tube socks, a black jacket, a leopard print thong and what looked to be a Burger King crown, briefly joined the models on the catwalk before being escorted out by a guard and bringing the show to a temporary halt.
And he left such an impression on the amused spectators that he got his own Twitter account, PrabalGurungStreaker, within minutes of the hilarious incident, promptly tweeting: 'Crowns are in this season.'
Surprise guest: Fashionistas got a lot more than they bargained for this morning when a streaker was spotted storming the Prabal Gurung runway at New York Fashion Week
Scandal: The man, who was wearing red socks, a jacket, a leopard print thong and a crown, was identified by WWD as notorious prankster Vitali Sediuk
According to WWD, the brazen man was none other than Ukrainian actor Vitali Sediuk, who has pulled similar stunts at the Grammys and SAG awards shows.
Despite the runway catastrophe, the models - led by fashion darling of the moment Joan Smalls - maintained straight faces, continuing to strut their stuff as the streaker was chased offstage.
Apart from the laughter triggered by the unexpected nudity, the rest of the show went down very well among the fashion crowd.
Models clad in sumptuous layers of dark reds and navy blues paraded down the runway, which was lined with huge gongs to keep with its Asian-inspired theme.

Asian-inspired: While the color palette was all rich reds and blues with neutrals, the fabrics ranged from satin and silk to luscious furs
One of the looks was a plunging long-sleeved navy blue gown, with a cut-out detail on the torso and asymmetrical layers of a marble-like pattern.
Another ensemble consisted of a red and brown patterned strapless dress, with a layer of dark red silk draping from the hips.
While the color palette was all rich reds and blues with neutrals, the fabrics ranged from satin and silk to luscious furs.
And bold prints paired with unexpected textures like sequins and suede added to the overall drama.
Glamor goddess: Evening gowns in warm tangeringe and midnight blue floated down the catwalk
Seeing reds: Shades of orange and red manifested themselves in asymmetrical skirts, knit sweaters and long, draping coated
Bundled up: Cozy layers were the most noteworthy aspect of Prabal Gurung's hugely varied collection
