The remains of victims of the 1978 Jonestown massacre were found in a funeral home in Delaware, according to The News Journal.


The remains had never been claimed from the former Minus Funeral home. However, they were in a collection of 38 small containers of ashes, 33 of which were marked and identified, according to News Journal reporter Jon Offredo.


The Jonestown massacre was a mass forced suicide, inititated when Peoples Temple cult leader Jim Jones ordered hundreds of his followers to drink poison and die with him. This video includes a Jonestown survivor recounting the moment gunfire erupted to kill followers trying to escape and the file footage of victims who drank the poison.
