MONDAY'S HIGHLIGHTS
Kings: The NHL suspended defenseman Slava Voynov indefinitely after the two-time Stanley Cup winner's arrest on suspicion of domestic violence. Voynov was booked and released at the Redondo Beach jail after his arrest early Monday at a Torrance hospital on suspicion of corporal injury to a spouse, Redondo Beach police Lt. Joe Hoffman said. The 24-year-old Russian defenseman posted $50,000 bail. Craig Renetzky, the attorney representing Voynov, told The Associated Press that Voynov hasn't yet been charged with a crime. His next court date is Dec. 1, Renetzky said.
Redondo Beach police responded to a neighbor's report of a woman screaming and crying in Voynov's neighborhood Sunday night, but couldn't find anyone, Hoffman said. About 90 minutes later, Voynov was arrested after a nurse at the Torrance hospital called police to report the alleged victim was being treated for injuries that "alarmed" the emergency-room staff.
Flames: Calgary signed defenseman T.J. Brodie to a five-year contract extension worth $23.25 million. Brodie is in the final year of a two-year deal, signed in 2013, which paid him an average annual salary of $2.1 million. The 24-year-old has three goals and four assists in seven games this season for the Flames.

Sabres: Buffalo announced it will retire the No. 39 jersey of Dominik Hasek on Jan. 13 when the Sabres play Detroit, another of Hasek's former teams. Hasek, who played 16 seasons in the NHL, will be the seventh player to have his jersey retired by the Sabres.
Maple Leafs: Forward Brandon Kozun will miss at least six weeks with a high ankle sprain, coach Randy Carlyle confirmed Monday.
Oilers 3, Lightning 2: Taylor Hall had a goal and an assist, both in the second period, as host Edmonton earned its first victory of the season. Earlier Monday, Tampa Bay announced that defenseman Victor Hedman will miss four to six weeks after breaking a finger in a 4-2 victory at Vancouver on Saturday. Hedman will have surgery Tuesday.
