PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Service is suspended on a Philadelphia regional rail line after a taxi cab went 35 feet up an embankment and ended up on the tracks.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says trains are halted in both directions Friday on the Chestnut Hill East Line.
The agency announced the service suspension around 9:30 a.m. The incident happened near the Germantown station.
A SEPTA spokesman says the cab's front end was badly damaged. It's being towed away.
He says SEPTA will need to inspect and evaluate the tracks before it can restore service.
